Acceleration of Crazing on Polyacrylonitrile Through Solid or Liquid Coating

Since crazes have a porous structure in the order of tens nanometers, if they could be generated periodically polyacrylonitrile (PAN), which is raw material for carbon fiber, we can create new materials (e.g., films with periodic layers). However, according to Wu, PAN polymer that predominant yield behavior than craze behavior. Therefore, this study, generate polymers behavior, such as PAN, used method focuses on entanglement molecular chains film surface, starting point generation (solid coating), well interfacial free energy (liquid coating). The results clarified even by sufficiently lowering at least one following: density generation, or surface. Additionally, it concluded Wu’s indexes (see manuscript details) should applied surface rather bulk because properties are crucial generation. Moreover, was confirmed continue grow direction thickness once has been generated, inside and tip about several mJ/m2.
